sweet november!

This weekend was a nice one, lots of hanging out with friends, prepping the casa for baby and sending lots of birthday wishes to my sweet mama on Saturday! πŸ™‚

Friday hubby got into the “baby prep” mode and decided it was FINALLY time to paint the nursery. We have honestly both been total slackers and we knew that painting the room was the first step to get the ball rolling on the nursery. We’ve mostly been researching baby products, mainly the big items just to make sure we know what we want to get for little man.

{Color BEFORE}

{I really like it! I think it’s the perfect neutral color for our little guy!}

Since hubby decided to paint, I of course stayed with a good friend of mine, who is also pregnant! πŸ˜€ TWO pregnant girls together is ALWAYS fun! πŸ˜‰ It was actually very funny because that night we were both stretched out on the floor in her living room in the most awkward postitions in an attempt to alleviate lower back pain we’ve both been feeling. She’s 2 weeks ahead of me but we were both agonizing over the severe back pain. We laughed at the thought of the way we looked, I’m sure our husbands would have laughed had they have walked in the site. πŸ˜›

{I wouldn’t say we feel THIS awful, but the back pain has definitely been pretty icky!}

Saturday in the morning we headed off to a girls day for mani-pedis and some eye brow waxing…I was totally in need of perking up my ultra fuzzy Pregnancy causing me to be a bit of slacker in the plucking department…you betcha! It’s nice to finally have *pretty eyebrows* again! πŸ™‚

Saturday was also my *Mom’s* Birthday!! I called to wish her a happy happy birthday and we chatted on the phone for a while which is always awesome. Any type of chat with her is always wonderful!! LOVE YOU *MOM*!!!

{Happy Birthday to the most beautiful woman in the world, my Mom<3!}

Saturday night we went over to our friends’ house and BBQed with them, the guys were in charge of the meal and it turned out super yummy! Us pregnant girls made cupcakes, my friend actually made them, I just helped with the icing part. πŸ˜‰ The cupcakes were to celebrate the beginning of her *3rd Trimester*!!! πŸ˜€ We made a bunch without icing because the boys aren’t big sweet fans, and left a few to be iced and decorated. I will say though that the icing she used was SUPER yummy, or maybe I haven’t eaten cake/cupcakes in a while, but it was the most tasty dessert I’ve had in a while! πŸ™‚ I’m not usually a big sweets fan either, and the weird thing I don’t really like cake (especially STORE bought cake) I actually/strangely prefer the kinda that comes out of a Betty Crocker box. πŸ™‚ So I say….LET *THEM* (all preggers girls) EAT CAKE! ;-D

{We did PINK & BLUE cupcakes to represent our little blessings! :-)}

Sunday Sunday….a very lazy one to say the least. We ate breakfast, watched football and relaxed. Randomly, hubby said to me “Can you just imagine in a few months you’re gonna have a little guy cooing and crying here and there.” The quiet silence will yes indeed be broken, but I’m sure it’s a sound that I will only grow to love. ❀

I We have yet to see Breaking Dawn Pt. 1, I’m kinda hesitant to watch it because I know it’ll make me just even MORE eager to watch the next Have any of you seen it?! I’ve heard such great thing about it!

I cannot believe THANKSGIVING is THIS week!!! WOW! Where has the time gone?! Hope you all have a great week prepping for TURKEY DAY!!

{HAD to add this because it’s SO DARN CUTE!}

XOXO Alicia

*24 weeks*

& GROWing!! πŸ˜€

I’m *24 weeks* already and I cannot believe it!! Truly such a blessing!

So far things have been pretty stinkin’ awesome, they say the second trimester is the *honeymoon* period of pregnancy and I gotta admit, they are sooo right!!

We had two doctors appointments this week, both stating that Baby A is looking really GOOD!! Lots of movements, lots of baby dexterity and LOTS of sweet kicks, which are all good signs!! We won’t have to make the long trip to the speciality ultrasound clinic now that we know baby looks good and appears to continue to grow accordingly without any red markers.

πŸ˜€ I am one happy little mama to be!! πŸ™‚

Food Cravings: Wings! Ahh! I know…but this little guy has DADDY’s taste buds apparently and craves manly foods like WINGS! πŸ˜› My favorite of course are the kind hubby makes that are *baked* instead of fried with LOTS of spicy sauce. That’s one thing my love muffin likes…ALL THINGS HOT & SPICY like his mommy!

Food Splurges: An ICE CREAM cone from Wegmans. It’s weird because I haven’t really craved any DAIRY products at all and since I’ve stopped drinking dairy milk, ice cream hasn’t been a big deal for me, not that I was an ice cream-acholic before or anything… I am kinda missing some FRO-YO from *MENCHIES* though! Island Banana is calling my name…

Weight Gain: 13 lbs! πŸ™‚ I never thought I’d be sooo excited to GAIN weight (especially considering my weight issues during highschool), but I’m loving the fact that I can see my tummy grow with each passing day. I also never believed my friend when she said that she learned to LOVE her body while pregnant. I was like “yeah right!” but SERIOUSLY even with all the changes, I’m truly more appreciative of both the body I had before and the one that is continously changing. πŸ™‚ I saw a pic of the me other day from when I was just a few weeks pregnant and I thought to myself “Wow! I actually looked good! I dunno why I was always so negative and hard on myself..”

The images I am referencing:

{I’ve always been self conscious of my legs but seeing these pics makes me PROUD of my strong muscular shape.}

Lesson learned: Love what you have and be grateful for it because you truly never know what you have until it’s gone.

I’m not saying my body is “GONE!!” but it IS changing and though those changes are for a VERY GOOD reason, I wish I could have been more confident in myself and in my skin beforehand like I am now. πŸ™‚ What I am saying is…..

Baby stuff bought so far: …..We’ve been slacking in this department…. :-/ With all the traveling we did to TX to visit the fam and then being so busy with school we’ve mostly just been researching and gathering ideas on the products and things we need to get. We’ve gotten a few onesies and baby outfits for little man, but nothing major. We have started our BOOK COLLECTION and Baby A LOVES Dr. Seuss! Our plan is to get down to business these next couple of weeks which starts with getting the nursery painted! πŸ™‚ Hubby will take on that task soon and I’ll be heading over to the my friend’s house for the time being.

Names: YESS!!!! We have a name..hence the reference to *BABY A* but we’re keeping it a secret, except for my Mom and Dad because they are just too hard to keep secrets from! πŸ˜‰

Fun events so far: -Baby store browsing. -Attending my little brother’s football game<3 -The big GENDER announcement party! -3D Ultrasound pics! πŸ˜€

Special Moments: Feeling baby *KICK*!!! πŸ˜€ By far the most amazing feeling EVER!! We’ve even SEEN a few hard kicks/punches and words cannot explain how wonderful it is! Hubby felt baby kick for the first time on Oct. 26 πŸ™‚ just before bed after eating an apple. Seeing him smile with joy and amazement was super awesome. πŸ™‚

Lucas (the cat) felt Baby A kick one day when I was laying on the couch on my side. He came and nestled himself right next to my bump and quickly fell asleept. A few moments later I felt the baby kick and Lucas began to twitch his little leg, followed by another kick and another twitch. It was the CUTEST thing ever!

Lexie on the other hand isn’t so sure of the bump but does enjoy being in photo shoots, she won’t let him have all the photo glory as you can see…. πŸ˜›

*24 weeks & LOVING it!*

Extra happy Tuesday!

Hey there! Happy Tuesday! πŸ™‚

Today is actually my little sisters *11th* birthday!! I cannot believe how quickly the time has gone by, she is 11 NOW and just about as TALL as me….no joke. I tease my mom and tell her she must have not taken prenatal vitamins with me because I’m soooo short and my little sis is SUPER TALL and so are my two brothers. πŸ™‚ What’s the deal? lol πŸ˜› Jk Mom, I love you bunches!

This is one of my FAVES of my little sis! (She was probably 4 or 5 in the pic) I love her SOOO MUCH! When she was little she used to tell everyone that “we were *TWINS*!” πŸ™‚ {Funny because we are such opposites in more ways than one!} hehe She’s such a cutie!!

{Happy Birthday Lovely girl!! XOXOX}

Speaking of pictures…another picture that is one of newest *FAVES*….

{Ahhh!! I LOVE it! Amazing how clear the image is! πŸ˜€ Hubby & I are were ALL SMILES yesterday!}

I never thought it was possible to love someone soooo much already! πŸ™‚ I’m absolutely LOVING ALL the kicks and punches!! πŸ˜€ I’ll admit, the comparison bug was getting to me because at first I was a bit worried when my friend who is 2 weeks ahead of me was feeling all these kicks and such and I wasn’t feeling much of anything. :-/ Then one day I felt it and after that there were kicks and punches galore! πŸ˜€Β I am also loving my ever-growing belly, words cannot express how beautiful this experience has been for me thus far, I am beyond blessed and continue to be so thankful to God for this experience and hope that I may be able to enjoy Β all the other beautiful blessings of motherhood.

Tomorrow is my 24 week appointment! πŸ˜€ *24 WEEKS* & LOVING IT!! {24 week post to come :-)}

Other than being super busy with school and working in workouts in between my studies and being absolutely DISTRACTED by Pinterest, I’ve been finalizing nursery ideas for Baby A as well as reviewing baby products like crazy! {Seriously, how can there be SOOO MANY different strollers and carseats?…..Oye, talk about a headache! :-/ Any product advice or suggestions are welcome and would be greatly appreciated!!}

Done with my workout for today thanks to Verizon’s free FitnessTV workouts, they are such lifesavers for my crazy busy homework schedule. P.S. Have I mentioned how READY I am for *WINTER BREAK*???! πŸ™‚

Anyways, hope you all have a great night! Off to do…more pinning, more homework! πŸ˜‰

Night friends! Much <3-Alicia

football sweetness

Hi friends! Happy FRIDAYYY!!!! πŸ˜€

Tonight is senior night for my brother in football, to some it might not mean much, but to those who’ve played sports, it means A LOT.

It marks the last time they’ll get to walk on their home field/court, meaning the season is that much closer to being over. 😦

Luckily for his team, they are pretty confidently making the playoffs this year, but they won’t play at home anymore, all games will be away.

When we went home a few weeks ago, we were very fortunate to be able to watch two of his football games. It was such a pleasure to see him out on the field and see my other little brother (Danny) rockin’ out with the band. Seeing Vince come out on to the field in his uniform got me completely teary eyed because I couldn’t believe how fast he has grown up. It made me think of the little man in my tummy and made me want to cry at the thought of him growing up just as quickly.

So if it’s tough seeing my siblings grow up, I can only imagine how much more tough it’ll be watching my little guy grow up (God willing).

Today, my mom posted a photo on FB of my little brother when he was a teeny tiny little guy and I again got all teary eyed reminiscing of all the sweet times we had together as children. Again, this gal with a baby boy in her tummy got all sappy and emotional thinking about having a little boy of my own to hopefully someday watch play sports and grow up too. I emailed the hubby and told him “I don’t want the baby to grow up!!” :-{ He laughed (you know LOLed in the email) and said “You have 18 years til you have to worry about that.” and that “Little man will always be our baby no matter what.” πŸ™‚ ❀ What a sweetheart, he really knows how to say the right things to cheer me up.

So tonight I’m wearing my PURPLE & GOLD with *pride* to support my sweet brother Vince tonight!! Go Panthers!!!

{*Baby A* says “Go Uncle Vince!!”}

{We ❀ #73!!}

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!! πŸ™‚ The fall foliage here is looking absolutely gorgeous & I’m loving every bit of it!! πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

Happy Halloween!!

Well we finally got settled back into our normal schedules after our great trip to Texas, just in time for HALLOWEEN!! πŸ˜€

Since we were gone for half of the month, we didn’t decorate much this year :-/ boo!! But we did get into the Halloween spirit with lots of CANDY & Cute costumes and some face belly painting as well. πŸ™‚

We were SOOOO GLAD to FINALLY Β have trick-or-treaters this year! In fact, I feel that we were a little We usually NEVER have but maybe 2 or 3 kinds come by when we lived in our old apartments, but this year we had TONS & TONS of kids stop by. At first we were giving them about 3 pieces of candy each, then as our candy bowl began to dwindle and the groups of kids kept coming, we had to limit it down to 2 pieces per kid, then finally down to 1 piece just to stretch it out as long as possible. πŸ˜› We’ve never RUN OUT of candy before, so we were definitely excited that Halloween this year was a *complete success*!!

Someone really liked all the TRICK-OR-TREATERS!!!…. πŸ™‚

Her little tail kept wagging every time the door bell rang! πŸ™‚ Her big brother Lucas on the other hand is “too old” for dressing up (teenagers! :-P) and he stayed as far away from the commotion as possible! lol

Afterwards, Hubby decorated my tummy which was super fun considering we didn’t actually carve a pumpkin this year. We MADE one instead…

(I’m growing a wittle pumpkin!! :-D)

Then we ate yummy Chicken Tortilla soup and watched Hocus Pocus to end our fun-filled night.

When on the phone with my momma, it amazed me when she said “Just think next year, if all goes well, you’ll have a baby to dress up for Halloween!” πŸ˜€ Wow! She’s right, I’ve always dressed up my cute furbabies, but the thought of dressing up my little man is very surreal and exciting all at the same time. πŸ˜€

I can’t believe it’s NOVEMBER ALREADY!!! I know *TWO* very special ladies who’s birthday is in the sweet month of November πŸ˜€ Then after that it’s THANKSGIVING!! Β Yum Yum!! By then, I’ll have a wittle TURKEY in my tummy!! ;-P heheΒ You know that once November hits, December and January are just around the corner….CRAZY HUH!?…don’t you just love the *HOLIDAYS*!!! πŸ˜€

This morning I FINALLY jumped in on the Pumpkin CRAZE and made some Pumpkin Oats and I must say, it was pretty fabulous!!

I’m loving them and definitely planning on making them more often. (Better late than never huh?!)

Hope you all had a wonderful Halloween!
